Which Quarterback is Better?

One was highly recruited before college and a top pick in the NFL draft once his college career had concluded. The other was a relative unknown who was thrust into the NFL spotlight and has flourished ever since. Both sport impressive win-loss numbers and statistical records that will stand for years to come. Both have Super Bowl rings and both will be enshrined in the Hall of Fame.

topazcat7/12/2011People like to say that Brady has had better teams than Manning, but I beg to differ. Brady went to and won Super Bowls with receiving corps full of players that nobody had heard of and nobody wanted. Brady had running backs that couldn't get a start on any other team. He's the one that made them look good.

It's misleading to say that Brady was surrounded by Super Bowl caliber talent just because they won it all. Without Brady, those teams wouldn't have had half the success they did. He made those players great, not the other way around.

crashburn11/24/2012The fact that Manning is winning again with a completely new team in Denver is very impressive. Brady is still a sure fire Hall of Famer, but Manning proving that he isn't simply a product of the organization and the system has to mean something.
